Xunxian Temple

Xunxian Temple is a Qing temple in what is now Guanqiantou Village, Jingqiao Town, Lishui District. In the notice of the Lishui District People's Government on the third batch of district-level protected sites (Li Zheng Fa [2017] No. 197) it is recorded as Qing, at Guanqiantou Village, Jingqiao Town. The village name, Guanqiantou, means "in front of the temple" and corresponds to the temple's position.

The district list gives only the level, period and location. It gives neither the date of founding nor the size of the temple nor the halls and images that survive. The notices for the first and second district batches have not been traced, so no other district listing can be inferred from this document.

Still to be added: the dates of founding and rebuilding, the number and form of the surviving buildings, the deity worshipped, the relation between the temple and the village name, and the temple's history and present condition.
