The Nanjing–Hangzhou High-Speed Railway Opens

Opening

According to People's Daily Online, the Nanjing–Hangzhou High-Speed Railway opened on 1 July 2013. The report gives only the opening date, not the length of the Lishui section or how it was built.

The line and the station in Lishui

According to the district government's district overview, the line crosses Lishui District and has a station at Lishui in Dongping Subdistrict; a planned high-speed line from Nanjing via Xuancheng to Huangshan will also pass through Lishui and have a station there. The site, size and opening date of Lishui station are matters for the railway authorities' announcements, and the sources available here do not give them.

Uncertainties

Dongping Subdistrict is the current name. When the line opened the area was Dongping Town, which became a subdistrict in May 2018. This entry follows the district government's present-day wording and does not rewrite the name in use at the time.
