Dajin Mountain War of Resistance Site

Dajin Mountain stands in Baima Town, Lishui District. The Dajin Mountain War of Resistance Site is one of the district's revolutionary heritage points. According to the reply of the district bureau of culture and tourism to Proposal No. 038 of the fourth session of the eleventh district CPPCC, the district records 77 such points, of which 29 lie in Baima Town, 33 in Jingqiao Town and 9 in Shiqiu Subdistrict; the bureau has put this site forward for provincial revolutionary-relic status.

Protection status

The bureau's reply says only that the site has been "put forward" for provincial revolutionary-relic status and does not give the outcome. The site appears on neither the district's third batch list nor the municipal list, so this entry records no protection level and does not describe it as a provincial or municipal protected site: an application is not a listing.

Not the same as the defence park

A separate facility stands on Dajin Mountain. The district government calls it the Dajin Mountain scenic area, or Dajin Mountain Defence Park; it lies east of the Lishui urban area, covers 66 hectares, was founded in 1990, and was enlarged and rebuilt in 2008, when it became a 3A-rated tourist attraction. That park is a defence-education and tourism facility of the 1990s, not the wartime site itself, and the two are not interchangeable.
