Fan Ancestral Hall

Fan Ancestral Hall stands in what is now Cangkou Village, Honglan Subdistrict, Lishui District. In the notice of the Lishui District People's Government on the third batch of district-level protected sites (Li Zheng Fa [2017] No. 197) it is recorded as Qing, at the place then named as Honglan Town, Cangkou Village; Honglan Town became Honglan Subdistrict in 2018, so the address here uses the current form.

The Rui Ancestral Hall in the same village appears in the Nanjing municipal list of protected sites, recorded as Qing and at municipal level. This entry, the Rui hall and the Qiu hall are independent protected sites, each with its own protected area. The district list gives only the level, period and location; it gives neither the size of the hall nor the year it was built.

Entry to be expanded. This is a skeleton entry: at present it guarantees only that the fields and sources are complete. Still to be added: the width and depth, the dates of construction and rebuilding, the hall name, the surviving buildings and the layout of the courtyard, the arrival and growth of the Fan lineage in Cangkou, and the formal published text of the third batch. Until then, no unverified building data will be entered.
