Jinjing Spring

Jinjing Spring stands at what is now Baishiguan Village, Jingqiao Town, Lishui District. In the list attached to the district government's notice on the third batch of district-level protected sites (Li Zheng Fa [2017] No. 197) it is recorded as Qing, at Baishiguan Village, Jingqiao Town.

The list gives only the period, the level and the location. It gives neither the form of the well nor the construction of its kerb, nor its depth or the state of its water, and it does not say whether "Jinjing" and "yongquan" are two names for one feature or two features standing together. This entry therefore describes neither the spring nor the well, and era reproduces the period recorded in the list.

Entry to be expanded. This is a skeleton entry: at present it guarantees only that the fields and sources are complete. Still to be added: the form of the well and the present state of its kerb, its depth and yield, the relation between the well and the spring, the date of sinking and of any later clearing, the origin of the name, and the published text of the third batch list. Until then, no unverified description will be entered.
