Zhongshan Martyrs' Cemetery

Zhongshan Martyrs' Cemetery stands at Dongliu, Fengxiangling Village, Jingqiao Town, Lishui District. According to the cemetery entry published by the Administration of the Yuhuatai Martyrs' Cemetery in Nanjing, the Lishui County People's Government built the cemetery in October 1959 and called for the collection of the martyrs' life stories and relics.

Protection status

According to the reply of the district bureau of culture and tourism to Proposal No. 038 of the fourth session of the eleventh district CPPCC, the cemetery is one of five sites — with the Lixiang revolutionary site and the New Fourth Army uniform factory site among them — entered on Jiangsu's second selection list of immovable revolutionary relics. The same reply records that the route from the cemetery to the Dajin Mountain Defence Park was chosen as one of Nanjing's first精品 study routes on Party history. Being on a selection list is not the same as being a published protected site, so this entry records no protection level.

The sources held here do not give the names of the martyrs buried or commemorated in the cemetery, and this entry therefore lists none; they will be added when the cemetery's own roll is available.
